After the ah-ma-zing Hardcore abs #8 I went on with this even more ah-ma-zing glute workout. It’s short but so intense. Every wednesday I do a hardcore abs workout followed by glute training.

I believe that developing a strong core with even stronger glutes will only benefit in doing other compound exercises like squats and deadlifts.

Again mind to muscle is very important with each and every exercise.  I always try to do each exercise slow, and really contract the target muscle with every repetition.  I started light, high reps and ended with heavy hip thrusts, low reps. Normally training glutes I won’t go that heavy to make sure it is only the glutes doing the job, but every once in a while I like to go pretty heavy to see how heavy I can go without losing proper form and see if I have made any progress.

I always write my workouts down, that way I see my progress on paper 😉

Breakdown:

  • Superset 4 sets
    • Cable glute kickbacks 10-15 reps
    • Cable glute side kicks 8-10 reps
  • Superset 4 sets
    • Squat Pulse 50 reps
    • Back extensions with plate 8-12 reps
  • Heavy Hip Thrusts 4 sets 4-6 reps
  • Jump rope 15 minutes
