Fat Burn HIIT #1

As I mentioned here before I decided to do a short circuit or hiit right before my weight lifting workout, but today as I was in the gym I decided to mix it up.. again.

Seriously I should change my name to Dame Mix-A-Lot.

The short circuit became 2 circuits, one total body and one only abs. I didn’t do weight lifting afterwards because I ran out of time, but no worries.. it was very intense. My body was shaking and I was sweating all over.

This circuit is inspired by an old workout I did many years ago, I made some changes to it because my fit level has changed a bit too.

Breakdown:

  • 20 dumbbell swings right arm
  • 5 competition burpees
  • 20 dumbbell swings left arm
  • 5 competition burpees
  • 20 spider-man pushups
  • 5 competition burpees
  • 20 side crunches left
  • 5 competition burpees
  • 20 side crunches right
  • 5 competition burpees
  • 20 strict mountain climbers
  • 5 competition burpees
  • 20 princess lunges
  • 5 competition burpees
  • 20 squats
  • 5 competition burpees
  • 20 knee hugs
  • 5 competition burpees
  • 20 spider
  • 5 competition burpees
  • 20 lunge to press left (dumbbell)
  • 5 competition burpees
  • 20 lunge to press right
  • 5 competition burpees (dumbbell)
  • 5 jump squats
  • NO MORE BURPEES!

Then after a rest period I did another circuit of only abs:

  • 20  crunches on exercise ball
  • 50 crunch pulses on exercise ball
  • 15 Knee tucks with exercise ball
  • Elevated feet crunches with exercise ball
  • Side plank hold left
  • Side plank hold right
