For today’s foodprep I have made:
- Lentil soup
- Kale with smoked sausage
- Stir fried steak tips with onion, hot- and bell peppers in teriyaki sauce
- Shepherds pie
- Boiled eggs
Yes that much. This covers about 5 days of meals for me and the kids. What isn’t listed is the salads, fruits, quark and cottage cheese that I will be eating as well.
I have already covered the lentil soup and the kale with smoked sausage in previous posts. I will write about how I make my Shepherds pie in a future post. So today I want to share my recipe of the steak tips in teriyaki sauce.
- 600gr steak tips
- 2 white onions
- 2 red onions
- 1 green hot pepper
- 2 red bell peppers
- 175 ml teriyaki sauce
- sesame seeds
- 1 tbs sesame oil
Chop all the vegetables. Put the sesame oil in a hot wok, add the vegetables and stir fry them for about 4 minutes. Take the vegetables out and put aside. Now add the steak tips to to hot wok (make sure it’s hot!) and stir fry it for about 3-5 minutes depending on how well done you want the steak. Add the vegetables and the teriyaki sauce, stir for another minute all together.
At last add the sesame seeds and done!
Best served on a bed of fresh greens or with a nice whole wheat roasted bread bun!
