It has been a while since my last workout. Yes I had perfectly good reasons not to workout so chillax! Oh man it felt so good to be back in the gym. I hadn’t seen the regulars for such a long time that it felt like coming home. When I walked in we all gave each other the ‘alpha nod’ and all was good again. Man I missed that bunch.
On today’s menu.. legs! Well at least that was the plan. I wrote down this awesome workout but I could only complete like half of it 😅
When I finished my first excersice; 50 barbell squats my legs were already sore. Then I went on with walking lunges and I could barely finish the 3 sets. The Bulgarian split squats just killed me and I couldn’t do the hip thrusts I planned because I could barely stand. Yup that bad.. I did the whole duck walk when going home and it felt amazing.
When I got home I did 3 sets of glute kickbacks, the icing on the cake and then I walked up the stairs. At least I tried. So all in all it was a good workout, can’t wait for tomorrow!
Warmup 10-15 min jump rope skipping followed by stretching.
- 50 barbell squats, complete in as little sets as possible
- 3 sets of walking kettle bell lunges, I walked from one end of the weights room to the other approximately 20 reps each.
- 3 sets for 10 reps each leg Bulgarian split squats.
- 3 sets of 25 reps glute kickbacks
