Guilt-Free Chocolate Cake

As you probably noticed I LOVE Chocolate! I felt like eating a cake, but since I am super healthy and never eat junk (ahum..) I decided it was time for another healthy yet delicious chocolate cake and share it with all of y’all.

The ingredients used are super healthy and packed with healthy nutrients like, antioxidants, fibers, healthy fats, magnesium, calcium and so on.

The best part is, my kids LOVED it!

Ingredients:

  • 1.5 tbsp raw organic cacao
  • 1/2 cup almond flour
  • 100 ml almond milk, unsweetened
  • Pinch of salt
  • 15 pitted soft dates
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp coconut oil
  • 1 scoop protein powder, vanilla or chocolate
Directions:
Pre-heat the oven on 150°C (300F).
Soak the dates in water for about 20 minutes to soften them up.
Add all of the ingredients in a food processor until mixed well and smooth. Line a baking pan with parchment paper. Add the mixture to the baking pan and bake for about 30 – 40 minutes, depending on your oven. The toothpick test always works. Just stick a toothpick in the center of the cake, when the cake is done the toothpick will come out clean. If not then bake it for a couple of minutes more .
This cake goes so well with my homemade High Protein Chocolate Cream..
